What is Right to Buy?

The Right to Buy is the right of council tenants to buy their council home for less than its full market value.

It is available to council tenants but not to Housing Association tenants.

However, if you were a secure council tenant and were living in a council-owned home that was transferred from your council to A2Dominion, then you may have a Preserved Right to Buy. This means that you can buy your home for a reduced price in the same way as Right to Buy.

There may be costs incurred that you have to pay in order to buy your home.

Am I eligible for Right to Buy?

To find out if you are eligible to buy your home under Right to Buy, please visit the Government's Right to Buy website.
