Why should I have mediation?
Mediation is a way to resolve disputes between neighbours, particularly when there are underlying issues as a result of a difference in lifestyle or arguments between neighbours.
Trained mediators are independent, impartial, confidential and non-judgmental people who can help others resolve their differences themselves.
If you've been asked to go to mediation, we hope you'll consider it. It is often a quick and effective way to resolve the antisocial behaviour (ASB) issue you're experiencing and will also allow the person causing the behaviour to understand how it's affecting you.
We'll only offer mediation where we think it's appropriate. We'll not normally offer to use mediation where there is violence involved.
