How can I buy more shares in my home?
If you're a shared owner, you'll own a percentage of your home and pay rent to us on the part you don't own.
You can buy more shares in your home, resulting in you owning a larger percentage of the property. This is known as staircasing. For example, if you've bought a shared ownership property and we each own 50% and you decide to buy another 25% of your home through staircasing, you would own 75% of it altogether.
There's no limit to the number of times you can staircase until you own 100% of your home.
There are different rules about the minimum share you can buy so please refer to your lease.
