Do I need to tell you if I'm selling my home?

If you decide to sell your home, you'll need to tell us. Whether you're a leaseholder who owns 100% of your home, or a shared owner who owns a proportion of your home, there are certain rules which you'll need to follow when selling your home.

What kind of agreement do you have with us?

Own 100% of my home (I’m a leaseholder):

Your lease normally contains a clause that says you must give us notice in writing within one month of selling your home.

The notice must give us the date of the sale and the details of the new owner.

You must also pay us a reasonable fee for registering the new details. Your solicitor will normally deal with this.

Own part of my home (I’m a shared owner):

If you want to sell your shared ownership home, we have a dedicated resales team to guide you through the process.

You can sell your share at any time after you have completed your purchase.
