Simon House
Simon House is a 51-bed homelessness hostel in the heart of the City of Oxford.
The hostel is staffed 24-hours a day and residents are fully catered for in a supportive environment. They are helped to address their problems, gain relevant skills and training, and move on to permanent, independent accommodation.
Simon House was set up at a cost of £1.2m with a further £100,000 from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM). This extra funding was used to fund major improvement works to the 27 year-old building, including the creation of a new building and construction training workshop.
Prices (per week)
The only cost to stay at Simon House is a service charge of £29.15 per week. This fee cannot be paid for by Housing Benefit.Eligibility
Residents must be alcohol and drug user-free while staying at Simon House, and agree to be regularly tested to ensure sobriety. They must engage with the support provided, and continue to work on the cause of their homelessness.How to apply
