Two talented entrepreneurs from Westminster have received £5,300 grant funding to help develop their promising businesses and the lives of young people in the local community.

Westminster residents Eulalia Seca and Lila Erazo received funding from A2Dominion at the housing provider’s Dragons’ Den-style event in London.

Eulalia, a former nurse now studying Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, will inject £3,800 funding into her bi-lingual counselling service to assist English and Portuguese speaking residents needing access to NHS and clinical support.

Legal interpreter Lila will use £1,500 funding to set up ‘LME Language Solutions’ to provide translation and advocacy support to those in need in the area.

A2Dominion, which owns and manages nearly 1,300 homes in Westminster, holds its yearly Dragons’ Den event as part of its Be Inspired Enterprise project.

Heather David, A2Dominion’s Head of Community Investment, said: “This is the fourth year of this hugely successful initiative, which gives us an opportunity to reward the talent and innovation of our residents.

“Eulalia and Lila impressed the judges with their passion and drive, and it was clear their respective businesses have the potential to make a positive contribution to the local community.

“All candidates who faced the Dragons this year will receive continued support and mentoring, and we are already looking forward to unearthing more local business talent over the coming year.”

Eulalia said: “I am thrilled to receive funding from A2Dominion to help me engage with and inspire even more young people in Westminster who are keen to develop their academic skills.”

Lila said: “I was delighted to take part in the Dragons’ Den event and this funding will make such a huge difference to my business.”

This year’s panel included Lorna Lucien, A2Dominion’s Director of Customer Services, and a selection of the Group’s board members.

The grant funding initiative forms part of A2Dominion’s ‘Be Inspired’ enterprise project, which supports A2Dominion residents to fulfil their potential.
