A2Dominion scoops hat-trick of National Site Awards in 2015

CSC-web A2Dominion site staff received their awards during May

Three A2Dominion developments across London and the South East have been given prestigious industry awards for demonstrating exceptional standards of consideration during their construction.

The Group’s Marringdean Acres scheme in Billingshurst, West Sussex, and phase three of the Stanwell New Start regeneration project, in Spelthorne, were both presented with bronze National Site Awards at a ceremony in May 2015.

Contractor United House, appointed by A2Dominion, was awarded a silver award for its work on City Wharf in Hackney, a new development of 327 canal-side apartments.

The prestigious awards recognise and reward those who have demonstrated exceptional levels of health and safety and consideration against the Code of Considerate Practice.

The code deals with the impact of developments on the public and the environment, as well as the standards of health and safety being maintained on site.

Simon Potts, A2Dominion’s Executive Director (Commercial, South East), said: “Across our developments we are committed to respecting local communities, ensuring everyone’s safety, protecting the environment and achieving best practice under the code.

“The fact that three of our new schemes have won awards is a testament to the fantastic work undertaken by skilled and passionate people.”

Mike Petter, Chairman of the Considerate Constructors Scheme, said: “It is our privilege to reward the efforts of all those involved in projects which set the bar in terms of considerate construction.

“We never fail to be impressed each year by the high levels of innovation and excellence evidenced throughout the industry.”

Winners of the National Site Awards are selected from the top 6.5% of more than 9,000 sites across the country.

Marringdean Acres is a selection of 200 homes designed in a variety of styles in the village of Billingshurst, West Sussex. Phase one of two is due to complete in February 2016.

The Stanwell New Start regeneration is breathing new life into a post-war Surrey estate, delivering a total of 323 new homes across four phases.

The nine-storey City Wharf scheme was built with traditional materials to reference the surrounding area’s industrial heritage.
