Can my home be adapted for disabled access?

We believe you should be able to live independently in your own home for as long as you want to. To do this, some properties may benefit from adaptations such as:

  • widening doors and installing ramps to make it easier to get in and out of your home
  • installing a stair lift or banister rails to make it easier to go upstairs
  • fitting kitchen and bathroom facilities that are easier to use.

If you or a member of your household has a disability or mobility problem, such as trouble walking, we'll try to find help for you. This may include providing any adaptation you need.
